They perform ♦ -28V to -10V Single Negative Supply Operation the same function as mechanical potentiometers, but ♦ ±5V to ±15V Dual-Supply Operation replace the mechanics with a simple digital interface. The digital logic is powered by a separate single +2.7V to ♦ 128 Tap Positions +5.25V supply voltage (VCC). The resistor string uses its ♦ Uncommitted High-Voltage Amplifier own analog supplies (VDD and VSS) that require (MAX5437/MAX5439) VDD - VSS to be greater than 9V and less than 31.5V. This allows for greater flexibility in voltage ranges that can be ♦ Low Temperature Coefficient used with these devices. Examples of analog supply 35ppm/°C (End-to-End) ranges include not only dual voltages of ±5V to ±15V, but 5ppm/°C (Ratiometric) single-supply voltages, such as +10V, +15V, +30V, -30V, ♦ Small-Footprint Packages and more, as long as the ranges of VDD - VSS and VCC - V 10-Pin µMAX (MAX5436/MAX5438) SS are met. 14-Pin TSSOP (MAX5437/MAX5439) The MAX5437/MAX5439 include an on-chip, high- voltage, uncommitted amplifier, providing additional ♦ Glitchless Switching Between the Resistor Taps reductions in board space and cost.
