LT1210 1.1A, 35MHz Current Feedback Amplifier FEATURESDESCRIPTION n 1.1A Minimum Output Drive Current The LT®1210 is a current feedback amplifier with high n 35MHz Bandwidth, AV = 2, RL = 10 Ω output current and excellent large-signal characteristics. n 900V/µs Slew Rate, AV = 2, RL = 10 Ω The combination of high slew rate, 1.1A output drive n High Input Impedance: 10MΩ and ±15V operation enables the device to deliver signifi- n Wide Supply Range: ±5V to ±15V cant power at frequencies in the 1MHz to 2MHz range. (TO-220 and DD Packages) Short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown ensure n Enhanced θJA SO-16 Package for ±5V Operation the device’s ruggedness. The LT1210 is stable with large n Shutdown Mode: IS < 200µA capacitive loads, and can easily supply the large currents n Adjustable Supply Current required by the capacitive loading. A shutdown feature n Stable with CL = 10,000pF switches the device into a high impedance and low sup- n Operating Temperature Range: –40°C to 85°C ply current mode, reducing dissipation when the device n Available in 7-Lead DD, TO-220 and is not in use. For lower bandwidth applications, the sup- n 16-Lead SO Packages ply current can be reduced with a single external resistor. The LT1210 is available in the TO-220 and DD pack- APPLICATIONS ages for operation with supplies up to ±15V. For ±5V applications the device is also available in a low thermal n Cable Drivers resistance SO-16 package. n Buffers All registered trademarks and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. n Test Equipment Amplifiers n Video Amplifiers n ADSL Drivers TYPICAL APPLICATIONTwisted Pair DriverTotal Harmonic Distortion vs Frequency 15V –50 + VS = ±15V V 4.7µF* 100nF OUT = 20VP-P –60 AV = 4 RT TION (dB) V 11Ω IN + –70 LT1210 2.5W T1** R SD L = 12.5Ω – RL R –80 L = 10Ω 1 3 100Ω 2.5W RL = 50Ω 4.7µF* + 100nF AL HARMONIC DISTOR –90 845Ω –15V TOT * TANTALUM –100 ** MIDCOM 671-7783 OR EQUIVALENT 1k 10k 100k 1M 274Ω FREQUENCY (Hz) 1210 TA02 1210 TA01 Rev C Document Feedback For more information www.analog.com 1 Document Outline Features Applications Typical Application Description Absolute Maximum Ratings Pin Configuration Order Information Electrical Characteristics Small-Signal Bandwidth Typical Performance Characteristics Applications Information Typical Applications Simplified Schematic Package Description Revision History Typical Application Related Parts
