  • Efficient Resampling Filters for the AIC111
PDF, 2.1 Mb, Archivo publicado: feb 25, 2004
The AIC111 is an ultralow-power, fixed sample rate, sigma-delta codec with a sample rate of 40 kHz and a usable bandwidth of 10 kHz. Typically, most applications process data at sample rates of 8 kHz, 16 kHz, and 20 kHz. This requires that the DSP or microprocessor connected to the AIC111 decimate the incoming data from 40 kHz down to the required sampling frequency, and interpolate the data back
  • How to Set the TSC/AIC EVM to Record & Playback Audio or Other Sound Through PC
PDF, 480 Kb, Archivo publicado: dic 14, 2004
Record and playback audio, sound, or voice on a TI touch screen controller (TSC) or audio codec (AIC) EVM system by means of the associated software running on a PC system. The PC and EVM are connected using a USB cable. This application report gives an example to demonstrate how to do this through a Windows XP? PC system. The block diagram and connection are shown in Figure 1.

  • Configuring I2S to Generate BCLK from Codec Devices & WCLK from McBSP Port
PDF, 105 Kb, Archivo publicado: jul 8, 2009
This application note describes a method for interfacing the multichannel buffered serial port (McBSP) to the IВІSв„ў interface of the TLV320AIC32/33/31, theTLV320AIC3101/3104/3105/3106/3204/3254 and TLV320DAC32 devices such that the bit clock (BCLK) is generated by the audio data converter device and the word clock (WCLK) is generated by the McBSP.This type of interface is useful in applications
  • Out-of-Band Noise Measurement Issues for Audio Codecs
PDF, 145 Kb, Archivo publicado: dic 6, 2006
  • Audio Serial Interface Configurations for Audio Codecs
PDF, 70 Kb, Archivo publicado: sept 22, 2010
An audio serial interface (ASI) provides a means to transfer non-buffered audio data between processors and/or audio converters. These data are typically encoded in PCM twos complement format, although other format variations may be possible to achieve companding for lower data rate transfers. Audio converters based on the delta-sigma (О”ОЈ) architecture require an internal master clock
  • Low Sampling Rate Operation SoundPlus Audio Data Converters and CODECs
PDF, 291 Kb, Archivo publicado: sept 27, 2000
This application bulletin describes the operation and performance of Burr-Brown's PCM digital audio products when using low sampling frequencies.
  • Control Port And Reset Operation SoundPlus Audio Converters and CODECs
PDF, 77 Kb, Archivo publicado: sept 27, 2000
This application bulletin provides operational details of the serial control port and reset functions for Burr-Brown digital audio data converters and CODECs. Specifically, this information applies to the PCM1716, PCM1717, PCM1719, PCM1720, PCM1723, PCM1727, PCM3000-series CODECs, and the PCM1800 A/D converter.
  • Solving Enumeration Errors in USB Audio DAC and CODEC Designs
PDF, 157 Kb, Archivo publicado: oct 30, 2009
TI’s portfolio of audio digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and coder/decoders (codecs) with integrated USB interfaces offers an excellent building block for any streaming USB audio system. When designing with the PCM270x and PCM29xx devices, careful attention must be given to both the clocking and USB hardware configurations in order to ensure proper host to device communication. This applicatio
